Recovery Technician · For IT asset recovery

Retired servers in. Recovered parts out.

On a 3D service bench, it works through retired servers: it takes out the parts worth recovering and sets each one on an assessment tray, labelled with where it came from.

The Recovery Technician’s 3D service bench: four retired servers, two assessment trays and the agent’s panel.

What it does, step by step.

  1. It starts with the bench

Four retired Dell PowerEdge R740 servers, S-101 to S-104, powered off, unplugged and open.

  2. It inspects before it touches

It looks at each server first, so it knows what’s already out and what’s still in place.

  3. It recovers the parts

Memory modules and other parts go onto assessment trays, each labelled with its server and slot, to await inspection.

  4. It keeps the bench’s record

What came out of which server, and which tray it went to, server by server.

It works on the bench as it is

It sees which servers are open, what’s already out and what’s on each tray, and acts on that.

Every part is accounted for

Each recovered part carries its server and slot, so nothing on a tray is a mystery.

It picks up where it stopped

The bench, the trays and the record stay as it left them, so the next session starts where the last one ended.

Questions

Is the bench real?

It’s an illustrative 3D simulation, not measured CAD, so you can watch the agent work with no hardware at risk. For your own equipment and process, talk to us.

What does it cost?

Nothing to try. It runs free in the try world, with no card. For an agent like it built around your own work, Create is $25 a month: describe it in plain words, and Maker builds it.

Who sees what I type?

The try world is a public demo, so keep private details out of it. The agents you build on Create run in your own workspace.
